Draper advent calendar raises funds for children’s charity

The limited edition 2022 Draper Tools Advent Calendar was launched earlier this year, featuring 24 doors of tools to open in the countdown to Christmas. With Christmas being the season of goodwill, we pledged to donate £1 from the sale of every calendar to the children’s charity, Cash for Kids. The calendar proved so popular that it raised £2,000, which was recently presented to the charity alongside a bumper donation of toys and gifts for the charity’s Mission Christmas appeal.
Making a difference to families in need
Cash for Kids supports families facing financial hardship. Their Mission Christmas appeal is the biggest toy appeal in the UK and ensures that children who would have nothing at all to open on Christmas morning receive presents to enjoy. This year the appeal is set to make a real difference to thousands of families in need across the UK.
Long term support
Draper Tools has been a long term supporter of Mission Christmas, with colleagues collecting toys and gifts for the appeal every year since 2014. This year, in light of the cost of living crisis and the difficult choices being faced by many families in the region, the company wanted to extend its support by raising funds through the sale of its advent calendar.

So, when the time came to launch our 2022 advent calendar, we all felt it made sense to donate some of the proceeds to Cash for Kids, in recognition of the incredible work they do for local children – especially at this time of year. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who bought one of our advent calendars this year, it’s been fantastic to be able to make an extra special donation alongside all the toys this year.”
Sending a message
Samantha Tanner, Charity Manager at Cash for Kids commented: “Every year we run our Mission Christmas appeal and this year we have seen an increase in the number of children that we have been asked to help. Mission Christmas sends a message to children and young people living in poverty in the south – someone cares for them, enough to make sure they have a present on Christmas Day. We couldn’t help as many children as we do without the generosity and support of businesses such as Draper Tools. A huge thank you to the company – they will be helping to put smiles on little faces at this magical time of the year.”
Ultimate calendar for tool lovers
Due to its popularity, Draper Tools has now sold out of its 2022 advent calendar, though any tool lovers keen to get their hands on one may still find a limited number available from local retailers and online sellers. The 24 doors of the calendar open to reveal specially selected tools that make up a handy 43-piece kit, including a magnet screwdriver bit holder and hex magnetic ratchet bit driver with a set of commonly used screwdriver bits and sockets.
