Congratulations to Southampton FC from everyone at Draper Tools!

It was an action packed weekend for Draper-sponsored teams this weekend, with EXCELR8 Motorsport at Snetterton for the BTCC and our very own Workshop Manager, Mark Smith on his drag bike competing at the FIA Main Event. But the highest stakes this weekend were certainly for Southampton FC, who faced Leeds United in the Championship Playoff Final at the iconic Wembley Stadium.
Draper Team Back The Saints at Wembley
Many of the Draper team made the trip up to Wembley to show their support for the team, each one of them eagerly hoping to see the Saints emerge victorious – and they weren’t disappointed! The score was Leeds 0 – 1 Southampton, securing the Saints return to the Premier League. For the Draper team, many of whom are lifelong Saints fans it was a special moment, made all the more so by the company’s back-of-shirt sponsorship of the team this season.
The Winning Formula
This recent win holds extra significance for the Draper Tools, who proudly returned as an official partner to Southampton FC in 2023, 40 years after first working with the club. This partnership reignited a connection that began in the 80s, bringing back a wave of nostalgia and positivity. We like to think that the reunion of this iconic partnership, coupled with the phenomenal skills displayed on the pitch, might have been a winning formula for the Saints. A touch of past magic blended with the team's talent and dedication created a truly remarkable result.
